compromise agreements
A compromise agreement is a legally binding agreement between you and your employer which sets out the terms of a negotiated exit.
Compromise agreements involve you waiving your rights to pursue certain claims against your employer, usually in exchange for a sum of money and sometimes an agreed reference.
In order for the agreement to be legally binding you must receive independent legal advice on it.
We can charge a fixed fee for advising on compromise agreements, which is usually paid directly by your employer, meaning there is no cost to you.
We will review the agreement, explain it to you and ensure that your interests are fully protected, amending and negotiating the terms if necessary.
We have an excellent track record in negotiating substantial increases in the sums of money on offer. If you would like us to try to do this in your case we may be able to act for you on a 'no win, no fee' basis. Alternatively you may choose to pay us on an hourly rate.
